what is our path?

“And I will lead the blind in a way that they do not know, in paths that they have not known I will guide them. I will turn the darkness before them into light, the rough places into level ground. These are the things I do, and I do not forsake them.”
~ Isaiah 42:16

what is our structure?

how are we supported?

Relying fully on God’s provision at His appointed time,

Shepherd 2 Shepherd Ministries does not solicit funds. We view His provision as a means of direction. All funds are prayerfully distributed with board and advisor direction.

“Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.” (2 Cor. 9:7-8 ESV)

what do we value?

Faith & Courage

“And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” (Heb. 11:6 ESV)

“So we are always of good courage…So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please him.” (2 Cor. 5:6-9 ESV)

“And they devoted themselves to the
apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.”
(Acts 2:42 ESV)

“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the
habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”
(Heb. 10:24-25 ESV)

“Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.” (Col. 4:2 ESV)

“Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.” (Rom. 12:12 ESV)

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” (Pr. 3:5-6 ESV)

“You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you." (Isa. 26:3 ESV)

"The aim of our charge is love that issues from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.” (1 Tim. 1:5 ESV)

“And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” (Mt. 22:37-40 ESV)

“For the love of Christ controls us…” (2 Cor. 5:14 ESV)

“Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity, and sound speech that cannot be condemned, so that an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say about us.” (Titus 2:7-8 ESV)

from the president

David Thew

“I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them.” (Isa. 42:16)

This was the word the Spirit spoke to catapult Helen and I into a life of focused ministry.

Through the years of pastoring and ministering together, we have discovered the incredible joys of the truth of Isaiah 42:16. Our hearts have also been broken many times as we watched the burnout of other ministry leaders – friends, colleagues and mentors.

We were not immune ourselves, and over the course of time, came to a place of personal “ministry ruin” that almost took my life. The Lord brought supernatural healing. A new ministry perspective, calling to be a pastor to pastors, and a vision for the revitalization of Christ’s Church followed!

Shepherd 2 Shepherd Ministries is the resulting work of the Holy Spirit in us and in those who have a like-hearted passion. Prayer and intimate relationship with our Supreme God is our foundational principle.

It is our desire that anyone connected with Shepherd 2 Shepherd will be drawn into deeper intimacy with Jesus.

Around the world there is a growing awakening in God’s people of the need for revitalization of Church leadership. There are many opportunities to work together toward this end. Thank you for considering how the Holy Spirit may be directing you.

We pray you are blessed with an ever-increasing awareness of His love. David & Helen Thew
